MONTVILLE, NJ – It has been a tale of two very different seasons on the court for the Montville Township High School girls and boys varsity basketball teams. However, as the regular season winds down and state tournament play heats up, both teams will be in on the action.

Their 14-9 overall record earned the girls varsity basketball team the eighth seed in the  NJSIAA North 1, Group 3 tournament play. They will take on ninth seeded Indian Hills. The Lady Mustangs will have the home court advantage in this 7 p.m. matchup that will take place on Monday, Feb. 29.

The boys basketball team is seeded fourteenth in the North 1, Group 3 tournament with an overall record of 9-10. The Mustangs will travel to face off against the third seed Wayne Valley on Feb. 29 at 7 p.m.
