MONTVILLE, NJ - At their annual end of the year dinner meeting held on April 26, 2017 at the Mansion in Mountain Lakes, Karen Cortellino and Michael Palma, members of the Montville Board of Education, received milestone service awards for their 10 years of membership on the Montville Township Board of Education. 

Charles Grau received a pin for his more than 20 years of service on the Board. 

In addition, Matthew Kayne, Board President, received recognition as a certificated Board Member. In order to qualify for certificated board member status, a member must attend academy programs in at least four of the Certified Board Member areas, attend at least four county meetings, attend at least one NJSBA Workshop, attend at least one NJSBA Delegate Assembly, complete at least one term on the Board and not have any School Ethics Act violations. 

Cortellino, who serves as President of the Morris County School Boards Association, presided over the spring awards celebration.
