MONTVILLE, NJ - Thanks to a 13-save performance by goalie Eric Lindskog, the Montville boys lacrosse team earned a big 8-6 win over Morristown on Saturday at Morristown High School.
Montville trailed 3-0 after the first quarter, but bounced back with three goals in the second quarter, and went into halftime with a 4-3 deficit. The teams were knotted up at six after three quarters, before the Mustangs struck twice in the final frame to come away with the win.
Brendan McHale led the way offensively, as he scored one goal but set the table for his teammates with five assists. Jake Garb scored three times and had an assist, while Richie Prager and Brendan Perretta each scored twice in the win. Zach Stolz-Illge won 11-of-17 faceoffs.
The win improved Montville to 5-10 overall this season. It will host Roxbury on Monday at 4 p.m. in its next game.
