MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville Educational Foundation (MEF) presented a $2,400 grant to Lazar Middle School sponsoring a speaker for the Lazar Living Lessons Program.

The Living Lessons Program is one of the largest gatherings of survivors and motivational speakers who are willing to share their stories with students. The tradition of bringing individuals with powerful messages together, under one roof for one day, to teach students about courage, compassion and character, originated at Lazar Middle School.

Organized by English Teacher, Judy Gothelf and Technology Teacher, Derek Lynn, Living Lessons is a bi-annual program that originated at Lazar in 2005. It is presented to the approximately 1,000 Montville Township Public School Students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. This will be Lazar's eighth Living Lesson's program.

The Montville Educational Association is committed to sustaining this worthwhile program. For additional information, refer to the MEF website HERE.
