MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville girls soccer team dropped a 3-2 loss to Morristown at home on Saturday followed by a 4-1 loss away at Chatham on Tuesday.
Senior mid-fielder Dani Vito scored twice for Montville in the Morristown game, with freshman Dara Frieder assisting on one of those goals. The game went into overtime as the teams were tied at 2 goals after regulation, but Morristown was finally able to get past Montville's freshman goalie Cristina Ryduchowski for the win. Ryduchowski made 10 saves in goal on Morristown's 13 attempts.
At Chatham, senior mid-fielder Bella Vito found the net with 3:30 left in the second half off an assist by Dani Vito to score for the Mustangs. Goalie Ryduchowski made 14 saves against Chatham.
In the video below, Montville's Ryduchowski protects the goal as Chatham's Sophie Straka made a bid for a goal when she volleyed a left-foot strike off the post.
Montville dropped to 1-7-1 with the losses and looks to turn around their luck when they travel to face West Morris Central on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
