MONTVILLE, NJ - Montville Township High School graduate Andrew Tedeschi has blazed a trail for the College of New Jersey’s cross country team since he joined following his MTHS graduation in 2013. He has earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors each season.

He was named NJAC Cross Country Rookie of the Year his freshman year at TCNJ, and four-time NJAC Rookie of the Week. He was also named to the First Team All-NJAC with his second-place finish in the NJAC Championships due to a time of 26:47.6.

His sophomore year, he finished the season at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships by placing 23rd out of more than 270 runners and earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference honors.

His junior year, he led the TCNJ Lions to a top-ten finish at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships before advancing to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Wisconsin. Tedeschi earned All-NJAC First Team honors.

This year TCNJ’s men’s cross country team has been ranked ninth in the Atlantic region by the NCAA Division III Preseason Regional Rankings.

Tedeschi and fellow senior Brandon Mazzarella will lead the team. Mazzarella has also earned conference honors the last two seasons. The season began Sept. 3  with the college’s annual Blue/Gold Invitational.
