MONTVILLE, NEW JERSEY – The Kiwanis Club of Montville recently held the first of what it hopes will become an annual tradition, a town-wide raffle in conjunction with this year’s 4th of July Celebration. For just $5 a ticket, individuals joined in the fun, with three opportunities to win 25%, 15%, or 10% of the pot. The Club recognized R. Feijoo, H. Kahl, and C. Calabrese as its first, second, and third place winners, respectively.

The winning tickets were drawn at Town Hall on Monday, June 29 by Mayor Scott Gallopo and a group of Kiwanis members. Through their efforts at this year’s 4th of July Celebration, the Club collected over $5,000. Montville Kiwanis expressed its gratitude to their friends, families, and neighbors for supporting this year’s program. The Club also extends its thanks to the Township and this year’s 4th of July Celebration Committee for all of their cooperation and support in making this year’s raffle a success.

For the past 35 years, the Kiwanis Club of Montville has promoted civic engagement and service to its local community, sponsoring youth chapters such as the Key Club and Builder’s Club at the High School and Middle School, respectively. In addition to providing community touch stones such as the play ground on Changebridge Road and participating in regular service projects such as roadside clean ups, this organization has also supported international initiatives in coordination with Kiwanis International.
