Montville Relay For Life to Hold Kick-Off Planning Meeting on Monday, Sept. 29

MONTVILLE, NJ - The 7th Annual Relay For Life of Montville event is scheduled to take place in June of 2015 and the event planning committee is getting under way. The first planning meeting for the event is being held on Monday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Senior House on Main Road.

"Anyone who wants to help organize and plan the 2015 Relay For Life is welcome to attend. It's a way to make a difference in someone's life," Montville Relay For Life event Chair Terry Becker said. "We would also like to extend a special invitation to members of any of Montville's many civic groups to come and brainstorm ideas for our Relay." 

According to the American Cancer Society, the Relay For Life event in Montville has netted over $640,000 since it began holding the event in 2009. The 2014 Relay event in Montville raised $75,000 and had 414 total particpants, including an impressive 33 teams and 31 survivors participating.

Relay For Life is an event that brings families, friends, businesses and neighbors together in recognition of the continuing fight to find a cure and conquer cancer. Funds raised during the Relay For Life go to help support the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.
