MONTVILLE, NJ – On July 4, tune in to ESPN 2 (channel 35 on Cablevision, 143 on Dish) at 12:00 noon to see Montville Township Public Schools Superintendent René Rovtar compete in the 2017 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Rovtar ate seven hot dogs – and buns – in 10 minutes to qualify at the Circle K Speed Street qualifier in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 27. Rovtar will travel to the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY to participate in the 100th annual event on July 4.

Rovtar had better loosen her belt, because last year’s champion, Joey Chestnut, ate a contest record 70 hot dogs in 10 minutes in 2016!
