Montville Township Asks Residents to Fill Open Board and Commission Positions

MONTVILLE, NJ - The Township Committee is looking for residents to volunteer their time serving as Montville Township board or commission members. There are immediate open positions on the following boards/commissions:

  • Design Review Committee
  • Environmental Commission
  • Library Board of Trustees
  • Housing Committee
  • Long-Term Financial Planning Committee
  • Open Space Committee
  • Residents with Disabilities Advisory Committee

If you are interested, please fill out a Citizen Leadership Form and submit by Jan. 9 to the Municipal Clerk at tatkinson@montvillenj.org  or fax to 973-402-0787. Forms are also available at the Municipal Building.

Montville Township VFW Post 5481 to Commemorate Pearl Harbor Day

MONTVILLE, NJ -- The Montville Township VFW Post 5481 will be gathering at the Montville Community Park Youth Center to commemorate Pearl Harbor Day on Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. 

The youth center is located beyond the VFW house and tank, at 130 Changebridge Road.

MONTVILLE, NJ – A few Montville residents gathered to mark the 76th anniversary of Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Day at the Montville Youth Center.

Montville VFW Post #5481 Former Commander Frank Warholic led the ceremony but was saddened by the aging status of the post.

MONTVILLE, NJ – The Montville Township Hall of Fame inducted its first MTHS graduate to attend West Point Military Academy, Army First Lieutenant Lindsey Danilack. Her father, Mark, introduced her, and his pride was obvious for Lindsey, who is an Apache helicopter pilot.

MONTVILLE, NJ – The Montville Township School District announced the passing of high school social studies teacher Peter Porter on Nov. 28. He was 49 years old and died "after a courageous battle with brain cancer," according to his obituary.
