A special guest was Judy Pederson, Founder and Director from Hearts of Hope. Hearts of Hope is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to "creating hope...one heart at a time.” Hearts of Hope is a movement of hope accomplished through healing art for the benefit of those in need. One program is painting a beautiful heart with a kind message. The program is nearly all volunteer-driven by individuals who wish to pay it forward. Some of the volunteers have had similar and life-altering experiences of their own.
Pederson said, “One of the most remarkable things I have witnessed through the volunteers is their strength. Often, volunteers will create a healing gift for another with tears in their eye, but always with a strong desire to offer caring and compassion.”
The club presented Pederson with a check for Hearts of Hope to continue their efforts. Every spring, the club distributes funds, voted on by the membership, to worthwhile charities.
Montville Township Women’s Club meetings are held the third Monday of each month. New members are welcome. Please telephone 973-405-0088 for information.
