MONTVILLE, NJ – Township officials wish to inform residents that the amount of vegetative waste that will be picked up has been temporarily increased following last week’s tropical storm.

Roselle will accept a maximum of 6 bundles or 6 containers or 6 biodegradable bags per property during the vegetative waste pickup, which is the first garbage pickup (Monday in Section 1 or Tuesday in Section 2). 

Brush shall be bundled and tied properly, so that each bundle may be picked up and handled by one person. No bundle can exceed 50 pounds in weight, 4 feet in length, or 2 feet in diameter. Individual branches or limbs cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter.

Township officials said that trees and tree limbs that are on public land will continue to be trimmed or cut down. They asked that property owners not place their tree limbs on the right of way, as those items are the responsibility of the property owner.
