MONTVILLE, NJ – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Montville NJ and the surrounding area. Over ten inches of snow are expected to fall by mid-afternoon Thursday.
The Montville Township Public Schools will be closed due to the impending snow storm on Thursday, Feb. 9. MEDLC will also be closed for the day.

Montville Township has cancelled scheduled garbage pick up on Thursday so crews may clear streets as necessary. Garbage pick up will resume according to the next scheduled pick up. Also, on-street parking is prohibited when streets are snow covered.

The state offices will be closed on Thursday for all non-essential employees; essential employees should report to work on their regular schedule. With the winter storm expected to continue throughout the day, bringing heavy snow, gusty winds and reduced visibility throughout the state, current road conditions can be found on the New Jersey Department of Transportation website at www.NJ511.org.

Blustery, with a north wind 17 to 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.
Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. West wind 7 to 17 mph.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 29. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. West wind 9 to 13 mph.
Friday Night - A 30 percent chance of light snow. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 26. South wind around 6 mph.
