TRENTON – New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher and last year’s photo contest winner Coley Gaffney will kick off the fourth year of the department’s social media photo contest Thursday, June 14. To participate in the 2018 contest, which will last through Nov. 6, people are encouraged to post photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the #FindJerseyFresh hashtag.

Last year hundreds of people and businesses submitted more than 2,500 photos from all over New Jersey highlighting favorite fruits, vegetables, markets, pick-your-own farms and agritourism activities.

This year’s contest will feature a weekly challenge to find a specific fruit or vegetable to photograph and post on social media using the #FindJerseyFresh hashtag. The new challenge will be posted on the Jersey Fresh Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages each Wednesday and contestants will have a full week to post their #FindJerseyFresh photos.
