MONTVILLE, NJ – An oil spill on Pine Brook Road resulted in the Montville Township Police and Towaco Fire Departments’ dispatch mid-day on Friday.
An anonymous caller reported an oil spill near 20 Pine Brook Rd. just after noon on Sept. 25, Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said.
“It appeared to be less than a gallon of oil,” Towaco Fire Chief Kenneth Breeman said. “We responded with our special service truck and put some absorbent material on it.”
No vehicular accidents occurred as a result of the spill, and Breeman said he did not know who spilled the oil, which was approximately 15 feet in length.
The department had the spill cleaned up in less than an hour.
