MONTVILLE, NJ - OneMontville announces a community screening of the new film, “Love, Simon” in coordination with MSLstories.com. The screening will take place on Sunday, May 6 at the AMC Theaters in Wayne, NJ starting at 3:45pm. Tickets are available for $9 per person, and may be purchased through local businesses promoting the event. Tickets are currently available at Joe’s Pizzaria (185 Changebridge Rd. Montville) and Landauer Café (632 US-202, Towaco). The showing has been designated “Stigma Free” in conjunction with the Township’s Stigma Free Communities Task Force, formed in 2017 as a part of a Morris County-wide program.

Directed by Greg Birlanti and based on the best-selling novel, “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda”, by Becky Albertalli, “Love, Simon” is a coming of age story with something for all teen and family audiences to enjoy. Simon Spier’s life growing up in the suburbs of Atlanta is a relatively quiet one. He’s got the loving family, awesome friends, and a pretty good grasp on the whole “high school” thing. But Simon’s also got a secret. When another student threatens to share it with the entire world, Simon embarks on a journey to embrace his identity and write the love story he deserves. With important messages on love, family, cyberbullying, and LGBTQ+ culture, it’s a heartfelt look at the world our teens encounter each day.

Founded in 2015, OneMontville is a local non-profit organization dedicated to fostering unity in the Montville Township community by fostering a spirit of inclusivity and celebration of the diversity within Montville Township.
