MONTVILLE, NJ – Pathways for Exceptional Children announces a workshop for parents of children with special needs.
On May 16, Mr. Paul Prior, Esq. will speak on “How will the Unanimous Supreme Court’s Decision to Provide ‘Meaningful’ Education Affect Your Child?”
Prior is an attorney at Hinkle, Fingles, Prior & Fischer, Attorneys at Law.
In March 2017, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that districts must give students with disabilities the chance to make meaningful, "appropriately ambitious" progress. What does this mean to your child? We will be discussing:
a) Is your child’s program “reasonably calculated to enable your child to make appropriate progress in the light of their circumstance?”
b) Does your child have goals that are measurable and that can appropriately gauge their progress?
c) Are the objectives set challenging your child?
This event will be held in the Lazar Middle School Library, 123 Changebridge Rd., Montville, NJ 07045 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please make sure you RSVP, as space is limited! Please email email@example.com.
