MONTVILLE, NJ - On Wednesday, Oct. 22, PRO Martial Arts had its official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Don Kostka, Montville Township Administrator Victor Canning, Chamber of Commerce Board member Kristofer Scelba, as well as friends and family of owners Alex and Christina Canonaco.
The new owners explained that PMA is passionate about helping students build a healthy confidence; and aims to prepare the children in our communities to grow into the next stages of their lives by developing essential character development skills. Students in these classes take away a potent blend of strength, flexibility, coordination and balance, while learning effective and proven self-defense techniques in a fun and energizing environment.
"I love teaching kids and making a difference," Christina Canonaco said. "We wanted to focus on doing something we believe in that we could also do as a family."

On Saturday, Oct. 25, PMA is opening its doors and hosting a community-open family fun day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with free Karate Lessons, Board Breaking for the kids, free food, refreshments and a lot more to see and do.
PRO Martial Arts is located at 2 Changebridge Road, Suite 103, at the corner of Changebridge Rd and Rt 202.
