MONTVILLE, NJ – Salon I Am, a full-service salon located in Tuscany Village Plaza on Changebridge Road, celebrated its grand opening with a fundraiser to benefit local and national causes on Sept. 26.

Customers could purchase bracelets that went towards tickets for gift baskets with retail values of $500.

“I’ve been in the salon industry for 35 years and was a salon owner for ten years,” said Salon I Am owner Donna Benelli, “I took a break, and am back with Salon I Am. Today is about giving back to the community and raising awareness for St. Jude’s Hospital, pancreatic cancer, and the Montville Township Animal Shelter.”

Proceeds from the ticket and bracelet sales will go to the three charities, she said.

Benelli said the salon is fully staffed with more than 30 years of experience in cuts, color, upstyles, lash extensions, texture treatments and children’s cuts. Facialist Cindy has more than 35 years of experience in unveiling beautiful skin, Benelli said, specializing in exfoliating treatments and microdermabrasion. The salon also features expert men’s barbering and full-body waxing.

Clients who missed the basket raffle can continue to come to the salon for flash exfoliating treatments, a 20-minute service of exfoliation and moisturizing, or colored hair extensions, and a portion of the proceeds for these services will be donated to pancreatic cancer, the Montville Animal Shelter, or St. Jude’s, Benelli said.

Benelli wished to thank the generous donators of the items for the baskets, including GM Collin,  Columbia Inn, CosmoProf, Howard’s Bagels, Linda Gannon, Giulietta & Romeo and Tuscany Villa.

Salon I Am is located at 223 Changebridge Road in Montville and can be reached at 973-331-0500.
