Montville residents commuting to NYC on the Lakeland Bus line deserve a better bus stop on Route 46. The current bus stop shelter is only big enough for 3 people. The waiting line for the morning bus is sometimes 20 people long, leaving Montville residents waiting in the snow and rain.
It would only cost the township about $10,000 to build a new shelter that could accommodate more people. Considering municipal taxes are increasing this year, this seems like a small request in the grand scheme of things.
I have personally reached out to the town administrator on this issue and he said it is something that he will discuss with the committee.
If you agree that we deserve a better bus stop, please call the town municipal office and voice your opinion.
