MONTVILLE, NJ – Tuesday, Nov. 24 may have been early to have turkey, but the students at Transfiguration Nursery School in Towaco were ready to celebrate at the school's annual Thanksgiving feast. The four-year-old class baked pumpkin bread on Friday, and the three-year-old class baked corn muffins on Monday. Tuesday's menu included deli turkey, carrots, celery, grapes, cheese and crackers, and strawberries. Especially popular was the rather non-traditional Pirate Booty corn snacks, which brought smiles to many faces.
“I like everything on my plate!” Jackson said enthusiastically.
Four-year-old Eston said he really likes turkey and is looking forward to Thanksgiving.
Four-year-old Adrianna said she is going to have “three feasts” at her various relatives’ houses, and when asked what her favorite part of Thanksgiving was, replied in Italian, “Tutti!” which means “everything!”
Transfiguration Nursery School will be hosting Brunch with Santa on Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
