MONTVILLE, NJ - Three out of the seven Montville Township Public Schools are still without power as of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16 forcing those schools to be closed for the day, according to Superintendent of Schools Rene Rovtar.

Rovtar reported that Cedar Hill Elementary, Hilldale Elementary and Woodmont Elementary schools will be closed and will have no MEDLC available at the school. However, the remaining schools, Montville Township High School, Lazar Middle School, Valley View Elementary and William Mason Elementary will open on a 2-hour delay.

“Arrangements  for making up the missed day will be announced at a later time,” Rovtar said. Due to the severe winter weather, the school district used up all of its scheduled snow days resulting in two days being ‘taken away’ from the district’s spring break in April.
