MONTVILLE, NJ - In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month the GFWC-Montville Township Women’s Club donated over 100 “comfort pillows” for breast cancer patients to Morristown Medical Center.

Since starting the project in 2002, the GFWC-Montville Township Women's Club has made and donated more than 8,000 pillows. In addition, pillows are contributed to Chilton Memorial in Pompton Plains and Saint Clare's in Denville and Dover.

A team of club members and volunteers from surrounding cities participate in this worthy endeavor. The last few years heart surgery patients, pre-breast surgery and post surgery patients and during chemotherapy treatment have found the comfort pillows extremely useful. The functional pillow is completely washable and may be used under the seat belt to soothe the ache after surgery.

All monetary donations will be used to purchase polyfill for pillows and should be made payable to: MTWC indicating on check "Comfort Pillow".  Please mail to P.O. Box 267, Montville, N.J. 07045.
