MONTVILLE, NJ - Montville moves ahead to the NJSIAA North 1, Group 3 semifinal round with its victory over 6 seeded West Milford, 48-19, during the quarterfinal round on Monday.

In the 14 match-ups against West Milford, 3 seeded Montville had 5 pins, including that of senior Connor Meytrott in the 138 pound weight class, marking the 125th victory of his career.

"The Montville Wrestling team wrestled a solid match against West Milford," Montville head coach John Krip said. "Some big performances were turned in by senior captains Ethan Mersing, Liridon Leka and Connor Meytrott. Connor Meytrott's pin in 3:05 lifted him above his own brother's career win total that led all of Montville Wrestling. Parker Meytrott had 124 career varsity wins and his younger brother Connor broke that mark last night. He now has 125 career wins with the end of his senior year approaching."
