An Evening With Harriet Beecher Stowe: Presentation by the American Historical Theater. Actress Kim Hanley portrays author Harriet Beecher Stowe: In 1852, Harriet Beecher Stowe published her novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin".  This empathetic depiction of African-American life under slavery reached millions in the U.S. The emotionally charged stories of Uncle Tom, Eliza, and Little Eva helped move the conscience of the country to the great cause of Abolitionism. It energized the anti-slavery forces in the North, while provoking wide-spread anger in the South. Join us as actress Kim Hanley portrays this important figure in American history. Adults only.
