MONTVILLE, NJ – Montville Township officials have closed the Municipal Building, so property tax payments, due May 1, will be handled slightly differently due to the Coronavirus pandemic, as follows:

Property tax payments are due May 1 with the grace period extended to 4:00 p.m. on May 11, because the 10th falls on the weekend.

Submit payment in the following ways:

  • Utilize the township website – www.montvillenj.org (If you use your checking account, there will be no charge; if you use a credit card, there will be a 3% convenience fee.)
  • Drop it off in the yellow mail box in the township office parking lot (195 Changebridge Rd)
  • Utilize the U.S. Postal service (reserve at least 7-10 business days to arrive in the office)
  • Utilize the bill pay system on your bank’s website (reserve at least 7-10 business days to arrive in our office as the bank prints a check and mails it in)

Please be sure to indicate either an account number, block/lot/qualifier or property location when submitting payments.
