MONTVILLE, NJ – The Veterans of Foreign Wars Montville Post #5481 announces its Memorial Day commemoration ceremonies to be held Monday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Tank Monument (VFW Post Headquarters) at the Montville Township Community Park, 130 Changebridge Road, Montville.

Speakers will include Congresswoman and veteran Mikie Sherrill (D-11), Montville Township Mayor Richard Conklin, and VFW Post 5481 Commander Andrew Vyniski. Police Explorers Post 805 will be presenting the colors.

“Since the beginning of our Republic, New Jersey residents have fought and died defending our values and our freedom,” Congresswoman Sherrill told TAPinto Montville. “I am honored to join with Montville residents for Memorial Day to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.”

In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place in the Youth Center next door. Banners around town state the time as 11 a.m., but the time had to be changed to accommodate the congresswoman’s schedule.
