MONTVILLE, NJ – Pine Brook resident Andrew Reynolds recently achieved his Ph.D. at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA, following the presentation of his research project at the school’s fourth annual physical therapy student research symposium.

Reynolds and 60 other student researchers presented their work before an audience of clinical instructors on subjects that focused on musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Reynolds and his team presented on "The Effectiveness of Dry Needling Compared to Myofascial Release and Ischemic Pressure in the Treatment of Myofascial Trigger Points Resulting in Cervicogenic Pain: a Systematic Review."

The two-day event resulted in Reynolds and his team being selected to present a poster at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana in late February.

Reynolds is a 2011 graduate of Montville Township High School. Upon his licensure he will be working at Wayne Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
