MORRISTOWN, NJ - The League of Women Voters of the Morristown Area is sponsoring a Congressional District 11 Candidates forum on May 15, 2018 at Alfred Vail School, 125 Speedwell Ave. Morristown.  The event will be in two parts.  The Democratic Party Candidates will begin their discussion at 7:00 p.m. and the Republican Party Candidates will commence at 8:15 p.m. 
 
There will be a two minute opening statement from each candidate, followed by a Q & A, ending with a two minute closing statement from each candidate.  A LWV trained moderator from our state will conduct the proceedings. 
 
 
The following candidates have agreed to participate: Democratic Party - Mitchell Cobert, Tamara Harris and Mark Washburne.  Mikie Sherrill declined but will send in a written statement to be read by our moderator.
 
The Republican Party Candidates are Patrick Allocco and Martin Hewitt. Jay Webber has declined.  There were no replies from Peter DeNeufville or Antony Ghee.
 
The forum is being co-sponsored by The Mountain Lakes League of Women Voters, The Cornerstone Family Program of Morristown, The Neighborhood House of Morristown, The Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown, St. Matthew A.M.E. – South Orange, First Baptist Church of South Orange and The Pi Theta Omega Chapter of the Aloha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
