MONTVILLE, NJ - Montville Township's Mayor Frank Cooney posted on Facebook that members of the township committee had received several inquires from residents about what they could do for the Montville Township Police officers and First Aid Squad members to support them at this time.

Mayor Cooney suggested donations be made to designated restaurants in town where the Police officers and First Aid Squad members could order meals and utilize these donated funds.

"All donations are appreciated and our first responders certainly appreciate our residents' support during this unsettling time," Cooney said.

This is an evolving idea and Cooney said the designated restaurants will likely change over time so check back often for updates. The designated restaurants are:

Residents who would like to donate are encouraged to call the restaurants listed above and indicate they are donating to support the Montville first responders or Venmo Cheryl Cavanaugh @Cheryl-Cavanaugh and she will be distributing the money each morning at the direction of the Mayor.
