The MTHS Field Corps, under the direction of Daniel Pasquale, and assistant director Chelsea DiDiego, have already taken first place titles twice this season; with a first place in Group 2-A competition at Northern Highlands and a first place in Group 2-A competition at Hanover Park.

The Montville Township High School Field Corps will perform that same award-winning routine, “Weather Alert” at this Saturday’s competition.

“Weather Alert” is the MTHS Field Corps’ 2019 program. It is an original work described as: “A seemingly normal day is disrupted by an urgent news report that informs the town of an impending storm. The storm arrives faster and stronger than expected, bringing havoc to the community. Does the storm leave a trail of destruction? Does the community bounce back and recover?”

Student leadership of the MTHS Field Corps includes: Senior Drum Major Sean McAuley, Junior Drum Major Michael Fichtenbaum and Color Guard Captain Amy Testa.

The competition is open to the public. This magnificent and exciting event is entertaining for the whole family. All are invited to come see the talent and dedication of several outstanding marching bands. Hundreds of student musicians and dancers will perform throughout the evening.

General admission at the door is $12. Student and senior citizen admissions are $7 and children under 5 are free. For further information, please contact the Montville Marching Band Boosters Association at
