MTHS Hall of Fame Induction Set for Nov. 17

MONTVILLE, NJ -- The Montville Township High School Hall of Fame will hold its annual induction banquet on Nov. 17 at the Valhalla Club. The Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding alumni of the high school who have gone on to pursue professional careers that demonstrate the best qualities of the institution, and are the living embodiment of "Mustang Pride." This year's inductees are Sana Amanat, Tom Bury, Dilly Duka, Christopher Cvitan, Lt. Lindsay Danilack, Lauren English, Dr. Gina Pisano-Robertiello, David Pucciarelli, and Dr. Domenick Sportelli, as well as contributor Cindy Berardino and the 2009 Boys Wrestling Team.

In addition to honoring the inductees, the committee gives scholarship awards to graduating seniors who demonstrate the character and values that make Montville Township High School one of the premier public high schools in New Jersey.

Families, friends, supporters and merchants are encouraged to exhibit their pride in these honorees by placing an ad in the journal which is distributed to attendees and all ad sponsors.  For further information, please contact Hall of Fame President, Daniel O'Brien, at danielfobrien@gmail.com . The Hall of Fame website is https://www.montville.net/domain/481 and contains information on attending the dinner.

Girl Scouts Host Teddy Bear Tea Fundraiser to Help Refugees

MONTVILLE, NJ – About fifty girls attended a Teddy Bear Tea hosted by Girl Scout Troop 4916, seventh graders at Lazar.

Four of the girls in the 11-girl troop created the party as a fundraiser for their Girl Scout Silver Award. Joleen Amer, Sara LoPresti, Ridhee Maddula and Rebekah Mathew chose working with refugees as the focus of their project.

Volunteers Assemble 1,500 Care Packages for US Troops Deployed Overseas

MANVILLE, NJ – More than 500 volunteers, young and old, helped Operation Shoebox New Jersey assemble 1,500 personal care packages during the XIII annual Military Appreciation packing event held in conjunction with Veterans Day.
