MONTVILLE, NJ – Superintendent of the Montville Township Public Schools Rene Rovtar sent out word via email, text and telephone to parents and staff that a suspicious comment was found at Lazar Middle School on Friday. It was not made clear where the comment was found.

The police were immediately contacted, according to Rovtar, and are currently investigating the situation in cooperation with the school’s administration.

“The police have determined that there is no active threat,” Rovtar advised. “This is an issue that we take very seriously.”
