MORRISTOWN, NJ - Two year old Ella Morris is in a fight for her life after she was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia called Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia (AMKL). Ella is receiving treatment at Boston Children's Hospital with her parents Lindsay and Jeff by her side. While her parents are with Ella, Ella's aunt, Courney Maxwell knew she wanted to do something to honor her neice.

"A friend and colleague of mine approached me to start a team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night March in Morristown in honor of my niece," said Maxwell. "We started the team and began fundraising."

One of the fundraisers that the team is conducting will take place this Thursday, August 22 at Glassworks Studio in Morristown. Maxwell, an employee at Glassworks Studio for the past eight years is inviting the community to an evening honoring Ella and support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Those in attendance will create a Fused Glass Candle Votive, enjoy refreshments from Tito's Burritos & Wings, Pomodoro Pizzeria & Ristorante, Philly Pretzel Factory, Portofino's Restaurant, Fig & Lily Garden and Amanti Vino Morristown. There will be games and door prizes from Olive Lucy's Kitchen Table, Chef Fredy's, B. jones Organic Spa, South Street Yoga & Nutrition, Mermaid Pilates, Three Birds Yoga Studio, Simply Cycle, The Office Tavern Grill, and Revolution.

"We are so grateful for your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement during this extremely challenging time, and we are staying strong, just like our little fighter, Ella," said the family in an online post.

The night will start at 7pm and conclude at 9pm. Cost is $25 per person.  All money raised will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Light the Night Walk. Reserve your spot now by visiting Glassworks Studio is located at 151 South Street in Morristown.

"We hope to raise as much as possible because it will ultimately benefit continued research and help children like Ella overcome childhood cancers," said Maxwell.
