MONTVILLE, NJ – More than 500 Pine Brook residents were without power on March 26 at approximately 2:30 p.m. after a car hit a utility pole on Changebridge Road near Gathering Road.

Police Chief Andrew Caggiano confirmed that the accident caused the power outage and that there were no injuries, despite the car’s mutilated appearance. The utility pole snapped at the base.

Outages were reported as far away from the accident as Konner Road, Cheryl Road, and Gabriel Drive.
