MONTVILLE, NJ – Montville Township Police Chief Andrew Caggiano announced that there were a car theft and two motor vehicle burglaries in the township recently.

A Deer Hill Drive resident had their 2017 GMC Acadia stolen from their driveway between 9 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 6 a.m. Aug. 19, he said, and the car hasn’t been recovered.

“Two other vehicles were also entered on Deer Hill,” he said.

The stolen vehicle was unlocked and the key was inside it when it was stolen. 

“We are asking residents to please be sure that your vehicles are locked and that all keys and key fobs are removed from your vehicle,” he stressed.

The Montville Township Police Department is asking if anyone has information regarding this crime to please contact the department’s Detective Bureau at 973-257-4300.
