MONTVILLE, NJ - There was a four-hour stand-off between a Montville resident and police in the Longview at Montville townhome community this afternoon.

According to a source who wished to remain unnamed, a resident caused a disturbance with one of their neighbors, then barricaded themself in their home when Montville Township Police and Morris County S.E.R.T. responded to the incident.

“There was an enormous response to the scene with dozens of people and vehicles,” the bystander recalled. The source said there were police, ambulance and SWAT on the scene and a “drone robot” was also seen being used during the incident.
