MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville Township Police Department responded to two car thefts this week, according to Captain Andrew Caggiano. 

Caggiano reported a 2017 Land Rover was stolen from the resident’s driveway on Sunset Court sometime between 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8 and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

The next night, a 2015 Cadillac Escalade was stolen from the resident’s driveway on Changebridge Road between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.

These vehicles have since been located and recovered in Essex County, Caggiano said. The vehicles had keyless entry devices in the vehicles at the time of the theft, according to detective reports. 

"We are asking residents to please be sure that your vehicles are locked and that all key fobs are removed from your vehicle," Caggiano said.
