MONTVILLE, NJ - The Montville boys soccer team opened up its 2019 season with a big 3-1 win over Roxbury on Wednesday at Roxbury High School.
The Mustangs struck twice in the first half to build a two-goal advantage going into halftime. Giovanni LoGrasso scored twice, while Hunter Kolmodin also scored in the win. Fima Desir added an assist, while Max Metz stopped two of the three shots he faced in goal.
It marked not only the season opener, but the first divisional game of the year for Montville in the NJAC-National Division.
T.J. McMullin scored the lone goal for Roxbury.
Montville will be back in action on Friday when it travels to face Morris Hills at 4 p.m.
