MORRISTOWN, NJ -  Less than a month ago, the Market Street Mission hosted a 5K Race for Recovery at the Central Park of Morris County, Over 200 runners turned out to "show support for those who are actively working a recovery program and staying clean and sober".  

Rob Albano of Pompton Plains crossed the finish line with a time of 15:54.6 securing first place overall. Morristown resident Jeremy Garrell finished second overall with a time of 16:27.1. Morristown resident Patrick Mullen finished third overall with a time of 17:48.1

For the women, Hope Crann 4 of Morristown finished fourth with a time of 23:02.0. Erin Bauberger finished fifth with a time of 23:17.1.

"We run to remember a loved one who lost their battle with addiction.  We run to educate our youth that life can be lived without the use of drugs and alcohol. Lastly, we run to support the Market Street Mission so that they can minister to all those who come to them looking for recovery", said the Mission's website.
