Tonight, Monday March 7 is going to be a big night for Morristown athletes.
The Morristown boys basketball team continue their quest for a sectional title. The Colonials will travel to Hackensack to face the Comets for the sectional final. Both teams fought hard to get to tonight. The fourth-seed Hackensack Comets defeated top seed Union City, 75-71 whereas Morristown defeated Randolph, 50-44. The Colonials are hoping to make history tonight, as Morristown has never won a state sectional title in the 107 year history of the program.
Tip off is at 7pm at Hackensack High School.
A mere 15.1 miles away, the Morristown hockey team will take on their county rivals and defending NJSIAA champion Randolph Rams in the Public A Finals. The Morristown Colonials have advanced to the NJSIAA finals for the fourth time in the last five years. The game will be held at the Prudential Center at 8:30 p.m.
