MORRISTOWN, NJ – County championships won more than a century ago. The “Marvel Five” in ’25. Jim Winston. Hamp Hazelton. Davey Caldwell’s 59 points in Bayonne in 1964. Close, back-to-back victories at CCM over Mendham in 2001 and 2002 to win county titles. Sean Hoehn reaching the 1,000 point milestone in 2014.

All of these things are part of Morristown’s long-time basketball fabric.

And like his older brother, Kevin Hoehn is now a part of that.

The senior needed 13 points to reach for 1,000 in his career, and he got it, becoming the first Morristown player to hit four-digit point totals since his aforementioned brother—now a starting guard at Sacred Heart—three years ago.

However, Morristown (11-5) lost a 56-50 decision to visiting Jefferson in the process, all but destroying the Colonials chances of earning a second home game in the North 1, Group 4 sectional bracket should they advance in their opener.

The Falcons—a team that has big three-point shooting capabilities—exploded for eighteen points in the final quarter to walk away with a huge road victory.
