DENVILLE, NJ – Does your child have interest in building apps and video games? Are they interested in expanding their skills and grow as developers? Then Hack Day might be for them. On December 3, from 9am -9pm, the Morris County School of Technology's Tech Club is hosting Hack Day. HackMCS, a local hack day is a 12 hour hackathon in the suburbs of Morris County founded by high school students to empower high school students.
Hack Day or hackMCST empowers high school and middle school students with opportunities to build apps, video games, network, and expand their skills and grow as developers.No matter what age, skill, interest hackMCST has something for everyone; from talks to workshops.
The hackathon will be located at the high school, 400 East Main St, Denville. Students from North Jersey high schools and middle schools come together to work in teams to make their idea a reality. The project can be an app, game, hardware invention, or whatever their imagination desires. Beginners will have the opportunity to attend workshops in areas such as app development, circuitry, Java programming, and web development.
Students can work in teams of four or alone to create their idea. Presentations will be held at the end of the event and judges will choose the Top 3 teams to win awesome prizes.
The event is free of cost for all participants, which includes lunch, dinner, beverages, snacks, and swag. Many fun activities will be planned throughout the event.
