RANDOLPH, NJ – The Alex DeCroce Media Center at County College of Morris (CCM) will begin its sixth season of “CCM: All Access,” a weekly television show airing on Morris Educational Television (METV).
METV is viewable on Channel 40 Fios and Channel 77 Optimum. “CCM: All Access” airs on Mondays at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and again at 9 p.m. Episodes are also posted to the CCM YouTube channel, where all previous episodes can be found. The first episode of the sixth season will air on Monday, September 21.
“Our focus will be expanding this season,” said Julian Costa, adjunct professor of business and communication, who serves as executive producer of the series. “Our goal is to share the resources that our campus offers and explain how opportunities and services are still available during this period of remote learning. We also want to provide some informative pieces to give our viewers something they can do on their own.”
Viewers can also expect the format of the show to change. “Due to social distancing measures, there will be some shows where our guests will connect to us through videoconferencing software, such as Zoom,” said Costa. “We will be breaking the episodes into smaller segments to allow more information to be shared in one episode.”
The production is entirely a volunteer effort. Serving on the crew are Daniil Barkov, a second-year student majoring in communication from East Hanover; Danny Lucero, a second-year student majoring in humanities and social sciences from Hackettstown; and Derek O’Leary, a second-year student majoring in business administration from Succasunna.
“I really enjoy coming in to help with the show,” said O’Leary, “and I look forward to helping with the recordings this coming season.”
Alumni returning to participate include Matthew Sinnott ’20, a recent graduate of the criminal justice program, and Brenda Todd ’20, an alumna of the broadcasting arts and technology major. Production support is provided by Joseph Schilp, associate director of the Alex DeCroce Media Center, and Daniel Cleary, television engineer.
Costa designed the program to provide students with a realistic experience in television production. Production began in January, 2018 and has continued every Fall and Spring Semester since.
