MORRISTOWN, NJ - Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating National Donut Day this Friday June 2. Customers can get a FREE donut with the purchase of any beverage.
Guests can choose from Vanilla Cake Batter, Glazed, Strawberry Frosted with Rainbow Sprinkles, Vanilla Frosted with Rainbow Sprinkles, Glazed Chocolate Cake, Boston Kreme, Jelly and Old Fashioned.
The offer runs all day, but for two straight years, the Dunkin Donuts located at 30 Lafayette Avenue in Morristown has run out of donuts.
"Last year, we gave away about 1,500 donuts", said Masendra Patel, store manager. "Every year, we run out of donuts."
According to their website, Dunkin Donut Day was "originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June.
