MORRISTOWN, NJ - The winter solstice is occurring this Sunday, December 21. The winter solstice is not the whole day and fluctuates depending on where you live. For us, in the United States, the winter solstice will occur at 6:03 p.m. EST, according to Earthsky.org.  The winter solstice marks the onset of winter with the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

There are many activities around Morristown to celebrate the winter solstice.
