CHATHAM, NJ - The Borough of Chatham Council took quick action to solve a parking problem at the Chatham Train Station by creating a separate area for motorcycles and scooters.

There had been complaints mentioned at the Nov. 9 meeting of the council about motorcycles and motorized scooters taking over the spaces set aside for bicycles. Council member James Collander said that the borough would have to begin issuing summonses to violators.

But members of the council came up with a solution and Robert Falzarano, borough administrator, put the plan into action. The 10 spaces were created in an unused corner of the parking lot, adjacent to the baseball/softball field at lower Lum Field.
