SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The New Jersey Lottery reports that there was a single $50,000 winning New Jersey Lottery ticket sold. The third-tier prize was from a match of four of the five white balls and the Powerball at the Saturday, May 13, drawing. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $204,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 10:59 p.m.
The winning lottery ticket was sold by Morgan's Liquors (309 Irvington Ave.) in South Orange, according to a press release from New Jersey Lottery.
If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have been worth $250,000, stated the release.
The winning numbers for the Saturday, May 13 drawing were: 17, 20, 32, 63 and 68. The Red Power Ball number was 19. The Multiplier number was 05.
In addition to the third-tier prizewinning ticket sold, there were 34,825 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $219,979 in prizes ranging from $4 to $500, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger.
