Two market leaders in Colliers International Group Inc.’s (NASDAQ: CIGI; TSX: CIG) Northern New Jersey office garnered their company’s 2016 Everest Award, which recognizes the top 10% of brokers in the country, said David A. Simon, executive managing director of the New Jersey Region.

 

The global company with more than 16,000 professionals in 66 countries, recognized Executive Managing Director Richard J. Madison and Executive Managing Director Jacklene Chesler, both based out of the Colliers’ Parsippany office. Annually, Colliers announces the Everest Club recipients which includes all Colliers professionals in brokerage, valuation and corporate solutions throughout the U.S. based on revenue production.

Madison has 28 years of commercial real estate experience in national and global corporate account services, focusing on tenant representation and disposition services and court-appointed receiverships. He has completed in excess of $1.4 billion worth of transactions throughout the United States and abroad.

 

“Rich has done a phenomenal job of expanding his services outside of traditional real estate brokerage into new and emerging specialties, which includes servicing lenders in a receivership capacity and marketing bank-controlled assets,” Simon said. “He has and continues to represent some of the largest names in this arena including LNR, Torchlight, Rialto Capital and others.” Madison has also completed transactions on behalf of leading corporations, including Avaya, Inc., Nestle Nutrition, Barney’s, Forest Laboratories, Inc., Computershare, Nordstrom Inc., Nippon Express USA, Inc., The Donna Karan Company, Goldman Sachs & Co., and Capital One Bank among others.

 

Chesler brought her experience in capital markets and investment sales to the Colliers Parsippany office four years ago. A graduate of the Rutgers University School of Management, who also completed the CEO Leadership program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Chesler’s clients include many local and national owners and operators including LNR Partners, Torchlight, JEMB Realty Corporation, TIAA, New Boston Fund, Verizon and several private family trusts and investors.

 

“Jacklene’s investment sales expertise within New Jersey and the Tri-state market has been sought after by institutional, private and foreign investors alike,” Simon said. “She is knowledgeable in all product types and has significant experience marketing and positioning distressed assets.” During 2016 her team closed nearly 2.5 million square feet in sales including the 650,000-square-foot Continental Plaza, in Hackensack; One Centennial, Piscataway, 230,000 square feet; 340 Mount Kemble, Morris Township, 390,000 square feet; One Old Country Road, Long Island, NY, 330,000 square feet, and Tops Plaza, in Erie, PA, 110,000 square feet.

 

A recognized speaker at industry events, Chesler has twice been named by REALCOMM as one of the “Top 35 to Watch in the Commercial Real Estate Industry” in 2005 and 2006. Since then she has received numerous performance awards and recognition with the industry.
