MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morris County Park Commission has announced dates for the 2017/2018 Deer Management Program.  The program aims to improve forest health in the parks through the management of the deer population. These controlled hunts are specifically used as a population management tool. 

Fall bow, permit bow and winter bow schedules have now been posted.  Click HERE for a complete schedule. Fosterfields Living Historic Farm North and South as well as the Frelinghuysen Arboretum will begin the fall bow season on Saturday September 9and  running through October 27. Hunting is permitted on Saturdays

Loantaka Brook Reservation will allow fall bow hunting September 25 through October 27. Hunting is not permitted on Saturdays.

On November 20, December 6, December 13, January 3, January 10, January 17, January 24, January 31 and February 7, the trails and parks at Lewis Morris Park will be closed due to firearm hunting.
